EULAR Charter for Work for people with rheumatic diseases
Work is an important part of our lives, be it paid employment, voluntary work or supporting a family at home. In 2008 EULAR adopted work as the theme for its 11th Autumn Conference for PARE, where delegates joined together to develop a Charter for Work for people with rheumatic diseases.
The Charter for Work was launched in March 2009 at the Alliance Against Arthritis (AAA) event in Brussels. Click here to view the Charter for Work.
The Charter for Work is primarily a campaigning tool to help raise work related issues amongst policy makers, employers, people with rheumatic diseases, the health professionals treating them and the media. The Charter for Work is being used at a European level and translated and used by national member organisations of EULAR for campaigning in their countries.
