About World Arthritis Day (12 October)
This year the theme for World Arthritis Day (12 October) is ‘Think Positive’. This theme acknowledges that the challenges associated with arthritis/rheumatism can also get you down emotionally, but that there are a number of positive things you can do to help you feel better in yourself and get more from your life.
Our campaign for this year focuses on improving access to psychological support and self-management courses to help enable people with arthritis/rheumatism to contribute fully to society and lead independent and fulfilled lives.
Please click here to find out more about self-management courses & psychological support.
Please complete our survey
To help us gather significant statistics to support our campaign, please fill in our new Think Positive survey. There is a section for people with arthritis/rheumatism and those that care for them and, for the first time this year, a section for health professionals. Just click here and choose the appropriate section in your language to start the survey.
We have also developed a Think Positive leaflet and Poster, with information and tips on how to keep a positive frame of mind when living with arthritis/rheumatism.
