Becoming a journalist was my biggest dream as a child. Though I was trained to be a teacher, I never stopped dreaming, but I thought I would never manage the stressful job with my lupus. Today, I am a freelance journalist for one of the biggest Flemish newspapers. Freelancing means I can decide on the workload and working hours. Working from home, I don't have troubles with rush hours. My colleagues know I have lupus, and help me out when I have a flare by taking over some items. I am as happy as I could ever be with this job!
