The findings emphasise the need to work together and take the next steps in implementing the calls to action of the EULAR Charter for Work In particular, the results highlighted the need:
- To raise awareness and build mutual understanding of the needs and challenges faced by employers and employees with rheumatic diseases to help make work more accessible and attainable
- For state assistance and legislation to encourage and assist employers to employ people with rheumatic disease and create more adaptable and flexible working environments

About the Survey
The ‘Let`s Work Together’ online survey was developed to accompany the EULAR Charter for Work, which was developed during the EULAR Autumn Conference 2008 in Budapest and launched at the AAA event in Brussels in March this year. The survey looked at work and people with rheumatic diseases and had three questionnaires to gather the perspectives of people with rheumatic diseases, employers and healthcare professionals.
