Working Wonders Exhibition
In 2009 EULAR ran an online competition and gallery called ‘Picture This’, inviting people with rheumatic diseases to send us a picture of themselves at work and share their positive work experiences. Click here to view ‘Picture This’ gallery.
All the pictures and stories entered in the online competition were judged by a distinguished jury and fourteen pictures were selected to be made into panels for the Working Wonders exhibition. The fifteenth panel was the winner of the online votes and the sixteenth the Charter for Work.
The Working Wonders exhibition was launched at the European Parliament as part of a World Arthritis Day event, which included the first meeting of the Interest Group in Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Diseases hosted by Edite Estrela, MEP, followed by presentations by Jim Higgins, MEP and Health Commissioner, Androulla Vassiliou and Professor Paul Emery, President of EULAR. The Working Wonders was exhibited at the EULAR Autumn Conference for PARE in Tallinn, Estonia in November 2009 and will be travelling around Europe in 2010. Follow the Working Wonders exhibition by clicking here.
